CPR (n°305/2011) : Construction Products Regulation
The CPR applies to all construction products that are permanently incorporated into buildings or civil engineering works (e.g. bridges or tunnels) and thus also to cables: not only power cables but also control cables, communication and fibre optic cables are covered by the CPR when permanently installed in a construction work.
Harmonised requirements for the fire reaction of cables are specified. Manufacturers must state the fire performance level of their cables in a Declaration of Performance.
Learn more about this:
Cables for general use in construction works for which fire reaction requirements apply, must be accompanied by a Declaration of Performance (DoP) stating their fire performance class.
To ease things for you - and because paper documents easily get lost during logistics operations - you find all our DoPs in the Nexans Tracker™. Simply consult and download the DoP you need so that you're able to fully comply with the CPR requirements in your own supply chain.
The DoPs of discontinued products remain available in the tool.
